The lawless John Wick universe has only one rule ā you can never fight at The Continental.
A staple of the franchise, The Continental is a hotel chain that serves as a neutral ground for all assassins to spend a night and drop all grudges as soon as they enter its front door. If you ever wondered how The Continental came to be or how one of the franchise's most pivotal characters, Winston Scott (Ian McShane), came to run it, well you'll have your answer soon.
The Continental: From the World of John Wick is a prequel, spin-off series set in 1970's New York that follows a young Scott (Colin Woodell) as he maneuvers the hotel's underbelly and sets off on a thrilling quest to protect his brother from its many, many assassins that are after him. The show's trailer is brimming with all the Wick staples that we adore from assassins jumping out of buildings, jumping into buildings, and even one particular assassin doing the splits while loading a gun. It's remarkable. It's thrilling. It's oh-so John Wick.
Alongside Woodell, The Continental: From the World of John Wick also stars Mishel Prada, Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allain, Ayomide Adegun, Jeremy Bobb, Peter Greene, and Mel Gibson as the show's main villain.
The first episode of the three-part limited series will premiere Sept. 22 on Peacock. The next two episodes will air weekly on Friday Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.
