Amber Heard’s lawyers claimed that Depp’s penile problem would make it 'more probable' that he would become 'agitated' in encounters with her

Lawyers for Amber Heard alleged that Johnny Depp had erectile difficulties. “Though Mr. Depp would rather not disclose his erectile dysfunction condition, such condition absolutely is relevant to sexual violence, including Mr. Depp’s anger and use of a bottle to rape Amber Heard,' Page Six cited newly unsealed court documents.

Depp's alleged penile issue would more likely cause him to become angry or irritated during interactions with the ‘Aquaman’ star, claimed Heard's attorneys. “Mr. Depp’s erectile dysfunction makes it more probable that Mr. Depp would be angry or agitated in encounters with Amber Heard, and that he would resort to a bottle, they alleged. Earlier, Johnny Depp’s lawyers slammed Amber Heard’s legal team for wanting to bring up the actor’s supposed erectile dysfunction during their defamation trial, calling the attempted move ‘pure harassment’. Attorneys for the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star wrote in a motion filed, “Ms. Heard wants a circus, and clearly intends to take this trial down a number of unnecessarily salacious rabbit holes, including and especially with respect to Mr. Depp’s medical history.”

“As if to prove that she intends to take the low road at trial, Ms. Heard included in her interrogatory responses that Mr. Depp was ‘taking erectile dysfunction medication’ and suggested that might somehow be a motivation for abuse, the documents added. Heard's attorneys pushed back, explaining why they thought it was crucial for the jury to learn about Depp's alleged medical condition in a 965-page motion submitted a few days later.

According to the document, Depp's attorneys wished to introduce his prescription for Cialis, a popular ED medication, at trial. Those accusations were ultimately disregarded in the trial. Heard, 36, sobbed loudly on the witness stand in May as she described the alleged assault, in which Depp allegedly threatened to ‘carve up’ her face with a bottle and then stuck it inside her during a brawl. Heard said at the time, “I didn’t know if the bottle he had inside me was broken. I couldn’t feel it. I couldn’t feel anything.”

The reported incident occurred in March 2015 when the pair was still married and residing in Australia, where Depp was filming the fifth edition of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean' film series. In a previously secret testimony Heard provided during a deposition, she said Depp would force himself on her in a state of rage if he couldn't ‘fully perform’ sexually. This testimony is also included in the new court filings. Heard testified at that time, “He would not be able to get an erection and become angry with me. I call it ‘angry sex’ that Johnny could not fully perform. He would throw me on the bed, he did this several times, and he’d force himself on me in an angry way.”

The Depp team is yet to comment on the recently released files. Earlier, in response to Depp's claims that Heard's domestic abuse charges in an op-ed article had libeled him, the jury granted him $10.35 million. Heard, on the other hand, was given $2 million in compensation for her allegations that Depp's attorney made untrue and disparaging remarks about her. The judgment is currently being appealed by both parties.
