The San Diego Padres have landed Juan Soto from the Washington Nationals in a monster trade that also sends Josh Bell to the Pads in the blockbuster.

It happened: Juan Soto has been traded and will be heading to the San Diego Padres.

Amid all of the will-they, won't-they leading up to the MLB Trade Deadline on Tuesday, San Diego remained a frontrunner to pull off the deal with the Washington Nationals. And now they've done it and have also landed another big bat in the deal.

As first reported by MLB Network's Jon Morosi, the Padres are getting Soto and veteran first-baseman Josh Bell in the trade.
