'It’s very ironic Jamal is treating Veronica the same way Usman treats kimbaaaaly' a fan wrote on social media

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: A TLC cast crossover has occurred but going by fan responses on social media, it does not appear to be a joyful one. Following separation from Justin Foster on '90 Day: The Single Life,' Veronica Rodriguez is dating fellow franchise costar Kim Menzies' son, Jamal Menzies, and fans are not thrilled with how Jamal came out of it during the show's Tell All.

Veronica Rodriguez has a new person in her life. The '90 Day Fiance' star said that she is in an open relationship with her co-star Kim Menzies' son, Jamal Menzies. [I’m dating] somebody that I met kind of casually and I didn’t expect it to go anywhere, but we just really, really hit it off, she said on Monday's episode of '90 Day Fiance: The Single Life.' Veronica went on to say that the two met on a recent vacation to San Diego, when he offered to take her out to dinner. Jamal also acknowledged that he is still sleeping with other people, but is using protection because of the nature of their relationship.

While it appeared that Jamal's entrance on the '90 Day: The Single Life' Tell-All set would be a pleasant surprise, things quickly turned sour when Veronica's former and current best friend Tim Malcolm began to express his harsh opinions about the relationship. Tim couldn't approve of the new pairing, citing a number of reasons why he believed they were a horrible match. Tim's criticisms irritated Jamal, and the two sparred briefly before the episode concluded. While Veronica seems unmoved by what happened, it's difficult to envision Jamal and Tim coexisting in her life after this occurrence. Veronica was hesitant to compromise her friendship with Tim for their relationship, as we witnessed in her past affair with Justin. That's mostly because he's been her rock throughout the years, even if they haven't been sexually linked. If Jamal can't find common ground and make amends with Tim, Veronica has threatened to toss him out.

One of Tim's major complaints about Veronica dating Jamal was that they had opposing life goals. Veronica clarified that while she and Jamal are dating, their relationship is not exclusive. Jamal is entitled to and is presently dating other women, and Veronica has the same freedom. Veronica acknowledged to tell-all presenter Shaun Robinson that, while she can date whomever she wants, she isn't presently dating anybody other than Jamal.

Tim indicated that while Veronica may have convinced Jamal she was OK with their present arrangement, he knew she wasn't. He went on to say that Veronica wants to settle down in life, and based on Jamal's present conduct, he doesn't want to. When pressed, Jamal stated that he is not ready to settle down, which appeared to catch Veronica off guard.

A Redditor was quick to call out Jamal for the way he came out during the Tell All as contrasted to 'Happily Ever After?' when he is depicted to be a caring and protective son to a mother who is rediscovering love. Their post read, I was ecstatic to see Veronica with Jamal until he started talking. I don't like his vibe anymore after this episode. Another redditor commented under the thread, I really liked him till last night. He acts like a sl*t. Questioning the dynamic of their relationship, one redditor commented, Me too! I was happy at first because I like Jamal and how he carries himself and how he is there for his mom, but I was quick disappointed when I found out they weren't exclusive. Felt a little bad for Veronica because she seems really into him, more than he is into her. One more comment read, The 5 minutes Jamal got of fame … made him look worse than SPAHKLES. Comparing Jamal to his mother, a fan also wrote, Same....this interaction did change my opinion of him and not in a positive way. I saw in that moment an awful lot of his mother's traits coming to the surface in his behavior.... sadly. One Redditor also wrote, On Kim’s seasons he came off as a respectable guy, caring, and seemed like he’d treat a woman good. After hearing him talking the way he was, he seems like a total douche, arrogant fu*kboy? very co*ky.. obviously you can’t know a person’s personality from tv, especially not being a main character, just showing up in his moms segments. But he seemed to have a voice of reason, especially for relationships.

Twitteratis didn't hold back from sharing their opinion on the relatioship and especially Jamal either. A fan on Twitter wrote, I liked Jamal as Kimbaawwllyy's son and voice of reason. I don't like Jamal as Veronica's boy toy, or her as one of his women in rotation. Yikes. Very cringe. Another fan quipped, Veronica thinks she’s dating Jamal. Jamal is about to be the Pete Davidson of the franchise. Wishing the best for Veronica, a fan tweeted, I was so excited about Jamal and Veronica UNTIL I saw Jamal pull that face about the prospect of getting into a committed relationship. Jamal is being honest with Veronica about being a fuckboy. It’s up to her now to value herself. Speaking of the irony, another fan added, It’s very ironic Jamal is treating Veronica the same way Usman treats kimbaaaaly.

Tim stated at Tell All that Veronica's new relationship with Jamal raised a lot of red flags for him. I’ve never seen Veronica date someone younger, he stated in the episode. She constantly gives me s–t for the age difference between me and my girlfriend. It’s not just that though, like, it sounds super negative but, again, it seems like a waste of time.

Tim further stated that Veronica does not approve of Jamal's relationships with other women. She doesn’t feel comfortable saying yet, ‘Hey, you’ve got to get rid of the other girls,' he presumed. I actually can’t believe that you’re lowering yourself to that, that you don’t [think you] deserve someone who’s going to put you on a pedestal … It’s sad to me.

'90 Day: The Single Life' has concluded on TLC, although Season 4 may appear on the 2023 television schedule.
